We specialize in original, one-of-a-kind works of art created by a carefully selected,
diverse group of regional, national and international artists. Our artists are committed
to integrity in their work, which fosters an atmosphere of trust between our gallery and
the art buyer, and the response from our customers has been phenomenal.
Gallery Director Victoria Petersen comments, "You won't find trinkets or mass produced reproductions at Peter McPhee Fine Arts. We do not take the 'art flea market' approach. We feel it is unfair to our customers and to our artists to place fine works of art adjacent to poorly realized commercial fare."
We sell excellent original art created by artists who truly value their work. We are often told that we are the best gallery on the Jersey shore. We continue to display new work, and repeat customers and first-time visitors alike are always thrilled by our latest discoveries.
One of the things that really pleases us is that our customers have such eclectic tastes when choosing art for their homes. Many purchase art for both their shore home and their home away from the shore . . . their work home, as one customer put it. Many of our customers travel to Stone Harbor from other shore communities just to shop at our gallery. We think Stone Harbor is gaining a reputation as an art center and is becoming a destination for art buyers. |
